Derek Aucoin is a former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Montreal Expos and, later, the New York Mets organization.

Undrafted, he signed as a free agent with the Expos, his hometown team, in 1989. Seven years later, he got the call and made his first appearance in the majors, May 21st, 1996, against the San Francisco Giants. Four games later, in Los Angeles, he recorded his first and final strikeout in the MLB. It was to be his final appearance at the mound in the majors.

Derek is now a highly regarded TV analyst and radio host.
