Rory MacDonald is a mixed martial arts fighter born in British Columbia, Canada. After an impressive 9-0 record, he was signed by the UFC. The Canadian fighter improved to 10-0 in his first showdown, an armbar submission against Mike Guymon in January 2010. On October 4, 2014, he won defeated Tarec Saffiedine by TKO when he riffled his opponent with punches in front of his home crowd. The finish was deemed Performance of the Night. Less than a year later, “The Red King” squared off with Robbie Lawler at UFC 189 for the Welterweight title, on July 11th 2015. Though he ultimately lost by T.K.O., the epic bout was named Fight of the year.
McDonald has 20 wins in 25 professional fights, including nine in the UFC. Now competing as a middleweight, MacDonald fights in the Bellator circuit, where he has a 2-1 record.
