The fame of Vincent Lecavalier is well established. The former National Hockey League center won the Stanley Cup in 2004 with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and more to receive the Maurice-Richard and King Klancy Memorial trophies. His #4 jersey was retired by the Lightning in 2018.
He has represented Canada internationally on several occasions.
On the cinema side, he played Jean Béliveau in the film Maurice Richard in 2005.
In 2007, he donated $3 million for the construction of a children's unit at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburgh, Florida. This unit, opened in 2010, has since been named Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
On February 18, 2022, he joined the management of the Montreal Canadiens as special advisor to hockey operations. He will work with his former agent, turned general manager of the club, Kent Hughes and his former teammate, newly appointed head coach, Martin St-Louis.
