Hassoun Camara is a former professional soccer player. Originally from Senegal, he first played on the French circuit, notably with l’Olympique de Noisy-le-sec, l’Olympique  de Marseille and SC Bastia.

In early 2011, he made his entry into the USL circuit with the Canadian club of the Montreal Impact, the NASL. Camara was then named the most useful player of the formation. In October of the same year, he made his entry in the MLS, signing with the Montreal Impact.

Camara won the Impact Defensive Player of the Year award in 2016 and played in seven MLS Cup playoff games, including six starts.

At 33 years old, he concluded his MLS career with seven goals and eight assists in 134 games, including 125 starts, and 10,979 minutes, which place him in first place in club history for most starts and most minutes; in second place for most games played and tied for ninth for most assists.

He is now a popular analyst for the TVA Sports network.

Since 2018, Camara is part of the Wall of Fame of the Impact with a dozen other former players.
