DESBIENS, DAOUST, and FECTEAU Celebrate Women's Hockey at the Sherbrooke Phoenix

The hockey team, the Sherbrooke Phoenix of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), called on the services of the MVP Group to organize an event honoring women’s hockey. As part of this special evening, the MVP Group provided the services of three prominent Quebec women hockey players, including the goaltender who participated in two Olympic Games and won a gold medal and a silver medal, Anne-Renée Desbiens, who is currently working with the Montreal Voie. Also present were former Team Canada Olympian Mélodie Daoust, and young prospect Emmy Fecteau, the only Quebecer drafted into the PHF (Professional Women’s Hockey League).

During the evening, they participated in a panel discussion with young hockey fans before the Phoenix game. Later, they met with the Phoenix players to announce the starting lineup. They were invited in front of the public to take part in a ceremonial puck drop, to the applause of the crowd. To give fans the opportunity to meet them, they were available for photos and autographs during intermissions at the Léopold-Drolet Sports Complex.

It was a wonderful evening that highlighted the talent of local women’s hockey in harmony with the people of the Sherbrooke region.

The MVP Group collaborated on this event with the Propulsion agency.

A special thank you to the Sherbrooke Phoenix for organizing this amazing evening.
