Montreal, Thursday, March 30, 2017 - The prolific freestyle skier Alexandre Bilodeau was present at a very special awards ceremony. After winning several honours during his career, it was now his turn to distribute them.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist was the guest of honour at the annual convention of the ADICQ (Association for the Development and Innovation of Chemistry in Quebec) at the Club de Golf Métropolitain in Anjou on March 30.
Originally founded by Florian Bonnier in the early 90s, the ADICQ's mission is to support companies in the chemical ecosystem. Indeed, this association wants to help them face competition and enter into partnerships.
Alexandre presented the Florian Bonnier Award to the winning company that stood out the most in the chemical industry for its impact, in Quebec, and its development efforts as a regular member of the ADICQ.
It has been 6 years since the Quebecer retired from the world of freestyle skiing. Bilodeau has since decided to invest his time in a career in accounting and finance. The 32-year-old former athlete is also known for his talents as a speaker. He wishes to inspire young people to reach the highest heights of their sport.
