Montreal, Thursday, May 17, 2018 - The organization of the "3 Sports pour la vie" Tournament presented its press conference for its upcoming charity championship. For the occasion, former Montreal Alouettes player, Bruno Heppell, was there to support their initiative in front of the numerous media in attendance.
The 3 SPORTS Tournament is an annual friendly competition where participants compete in three disciplines: ball hockey, softball and volleyball. The event created by Sylvain Poissant in 2014 supports the Canadian Cancer Society (Fonds Sylvain Poissant) for the prevention and awareness of sun exposure.
For the 5th edition, 38 teams from all over the Montérégie region have registered to participate in the tournament and raise funds for the cause. In fact, in addition to their physical efforts, each team is mandated to collect a minimum of $1000 in donations for the event.
The activity, which takes place during several days, is usually held in Candiac and is fortunate to count on extraordinary partners. Among them are the Caisse Desjardins des-Moissons-et-de-Roussillon, Université de Sherbrooke, Maxi and many others. The tournament has now become a highly anticipated attraction in the area and continues to break records for registrations and donations year after year.
