JOANNIE ROCHETTE and ALEXANDRE BILODEAU meet the Carabins

Montreal, Sunday, October 4, 2020 - Joannie Rochette and Alexandre Bilodeau met with several athletes of the Université de Montréal. The meeting took place at the CEPSUM as part of the Carabins Leadership Course. An exceptional conference that allowed the people on site to get a lot of positive insights as well as the chance to interact with the two very generous personalities.

The objective of the Carabins Leadership Course is to promote a good balance between sports and studies among the university's student-athletes. It provides them with an exceptional learning experience focused on self development. The program allows them to develop skills that will be useful to them in their athletic career as well as in their active life. An exclusive and innovative offer that allows members of the Université de Montréal's sports teams to eventually stand out in their personal lives, on the job market and in the community. Joannie Rochette and Alexandre Bilodeau were therefore perfect speakers for the cause.

Joannie and Alexandre took the opportunity to share their personal experience of the transition they have made from being an Olympic athlete to being a worker. Both former Olympians are definitely role models in this regard; Joannie recently completed her medical studies at McGill University while Alexandre has completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at Concordia University before completing his CPA training at HEC Montreal in 2017. The theme of the conference was therefore extremely relevant for high performance athletes who wish to pursue a professional career after their competitive years are over.
